After finishing the call with Isabe, Maggie hung up the phone. About ten minutester, Franklin sent her the time and location for Isabe’s training the next day.
But it was only the time and address for the training. He didn’t say anything more.
The next day, just a few minutes after Maggie arrived at the fencing hall, Isabe showed up.
The car only had Isabe and the driver.
Franklin was not there.
After getting out of the car, Isabe happily took Maggie’s hand and led her into the fencing hall.
As soon as they entered, Johnny called her.
Maggie turned to Isabe and said, “Mom needs to take a call.”
Isabe replied, “Okay, I’ll go find my coach first.”
“Mm.”
Johnny just asked her a few things, and after chatting for a bit, he hung up the phone.
Isabe hadn’t gone far.
When she saw her coach, he smiled and greeted her, “Isabe, you’re here?”
Looking around, he then asked, “Did Miss Brown or Mr. Wilson not apany you today?”
“No, today my mom came with me!” Isabe answered.
Maggie listened to their conversation, standing by the door. After a few seconds, she walked in.
When Isabe’s coach saw her, a hint of surprise shed in his eyes. “Miss, you’re here to-”
“Mom!”
Isabe’s coach froze for a moment and then smiled, “Oh, so you’re Isabe’s mom?”
Maggie nodded and shook his hand.
Over the past six months, whenever Isabe came to the fencing hall for training, it was always Franklin or Julia, or sometimes both of them, who apanied her.

He knew Julia was Franklin’s girlfriend but was not Isabe’s mother.
Isabe always came for training with her father or her father’s girlfriend, but her biological mother had never appeared. At the time, he had assumed that Isabe’s mother must have either divorced Franklin or even passed
away.
Now that Maggie had appeared, it meant that Isabe’s mother was not dead.
In that case, Franklin and Maggie must have been divorced.
He wasn’t sure why they divorced, as he wasn’t involved in their personal matters.
But judging by the way Franklin, Julia, and Isabe interacted, Franklin seemed to have a good rtionship with his current girlfriend, and Isabe was also very close to her.
He didn’t know if Isabe’s good rtionship with Julia had been allowed by Maggie, so he didn’t bring them up. Instead, heplimented Isabe: “Isabe is very interested in fencing, and she has a natural talent for it, so she’s been doing great. There’s a good chance she’ll be in the top three in next month’spetition.”
Maggie nodded and was about to reply when Isabe came over, holding her hand and asking, “Mom, can youe with me to change clothes?”
Maggie nodded.
After Isabe changed into her fencing uniform, the training officially began.
Isabe’s coach, who was said to have been a fencing champion in a previous year, was skilled in both technique
and tactics.
But perhaps Isabe truly had enough talent, coupled with her boldness, as she showed no signs of timidity during the training. On the contrary, she was quick on her feet, daring in her attacks, swift in her defense, and reacted incredibly fast.
Between her attacks and defenses, there was already a touch of elegance and skill.
In a daze, Maggie felt like she could already see what Isabe would look like when she grew up and participated inpetitions.
But by that time, she estimated she wouldn’t be by her side.
After about half an hour of training, Isabe ran over and grabbed her hand, looking up at her, waiting for praise. “Mom, did I do well?”
Maggie didn’t know much about fencing, and she wasn’t very familiar with the sport.
Butst night, she had looked up some information online to get a basic understanding of fencing.
She took the small towel Isabe handed her, wiping away her sweat, and sincerely praised her, “Very good”
She then turned to the coach walking towards them and said, “Thank you for your hard work.”
“It’s nothing,” Isabe’s coach replied, adding, “But it’s not all thanks to me that Isabe is doing so well. She had a good foundation before she came to our fencing hall.”
Both Franklin and Julia were good at fencing, and it was said that Isabe became interested in fencing because of
their influence.
For Isabe, they were her real fencing mentors.
