Halsey looked at Shaun with a sweet smile.


    “Mr. Lane, you’re still so young. Shouldn’t you be focused on making money or being with a bunch of pretty girls? Is getting married all you can think about?”


    Shaun pulled her into a tight hug. “All I want is to marry you. Is that so wrong?”


    Halseyughed. “Not at all!”


    Just then, a soft ringtone filled the air. Halsey’s phone was ringing.


    “Hold on. Let me take this.” She nced at the screen. “It’s Calvin.”


    Shaun narrowed his eyes slightly. He remembered that name well. When it came to the men around Halsey, he had a sharper memory than anyone.


    Calvin came from a good family and worked as a university professor. He was smart and respectable.


    And Halsey wasn’t just anyone-she was a rich heiress. Naturally, there were plenty of high-quality men constantly around her. Even though Shaun was doing well himself now, it didn’t stop him from feeling a little uneasy.


    There were way too many men who liked Halsey.


    “I’ll take the call,” she said, pressing the answer button. “Hey, Calvin.”


    Calvin’s gentle voice came through the speaker. “Hey. Have you been really busytely?”


    “I’ve had a lot going on,” she replied.


    “Remember you told me a while back that you wanted to take some advanced sses at Anteoch University? Do you still remember that?”


    Halsey smacked her forehead. She hadpletely forgotten about it, but Calvin hadn’t.


    “I’m so sorry, Calvin. I totally forgot.”


    “Well, I didn’t,” he said with a soft chuckle. “I already took care of everything for you. You can start your coursework at Anteoch University tomorrow. You’re a fashion designer, right? Furthering your education will definitely help your career.”


    Hearing that he had already handled all the paperwork for her, Halsey was beyond grateful. “Thank you, Calvin. I’ll head to Anteoch University tomorrow. I really appreciate you going through all that trouble for me.


    “No need to be so formal. We’ve known each other since we were kids, and our families are close,” Calvin said with a warmugh. “See you tomorrow at Anteoch.”


    “Okay, see you then.”


    After hanging up, Halsey looked over at Shaun. “I’m going to start my advanced studies at Anteoch University tomorrow.” 1


    Now that Shaun had be a rising star in the business world, Halsey wanted to grow too. The best kind of rtionship was one where both people kept moving forward. She wanted to improve herself, be better, and build a stronger future with Shaun.


    Shaun held her gently. “It’s great that you want to keep learning. It’s always good for girls to keep studying. But… You’re already five months pregnant. Won’t it be too tiring to go

    “I’ll be fine,” Halsey said with a smile. “The baby’s really well-behaved.”


    “But won’t it be awkward if the other students see that you’re pregnant?”


    “Oh, good point! I’ll wear a loose dress tomorrow so no one notices. Honestly, when I walk down the street, people still think I’m a teenager.”


    Halsey was still slim, with delicate arms and legs. Her belly was the only part that had


    grown, and even at five months, it wasn’t all that noticeable. A loose dress would easily hide <ol><li></li></ol>


    Shaun looked at her small, delicate face, glowing with softness and youth. She really did look young and unmarried.


    He reached out and gently pinched her cheek. “Alright, go ahead. I support you.”


    Halsey quickly kissed him on the cheek. “Thanks. You’re the best!”
