Chapter 1371

    ?Chapter 1371:

Dani’s soft chuckle echoed in the silent room. “What do you think would happen if I blew that ind skyhigh? Would the treasures hidden there rise to the surface and make the news?”

In that moment, the truth dawned on Niks: Dani knew his deepest secret. His gaze locked on her, wideeyed in disbelief. Why hadn’t she used it against him before? Why reveal it now?

Dani pierced his thoughts effortlessly, her voice calm. “I stayed silent before because I dismissed it. I foolishly hoped that, in a family, there might be a glimmer of tenderness. That’s why I refrained from going to extremes. But now I realize I was wrong. Since you never intended to show Cedric any mercy, I won’t hold back any longer.”

Niks blinked in surprise, his gaze fixed on Dani. He had never anticipated that someone as powerful and wealthy as she would still care about family ties.

Born into the fractured Harper family, Dani had long since abandoned any hope of unity among the elite. Yet she clung to the belief that Cedric might find more family beyond his grandmother. Though Cedric himself remained indifferent, Dani had held onto that hope—wishing the McCoy family would offer him at least a sliver of kindness. But now, it seemed she no longer needed to spare them any mercy.

Dani’s words trailed off as she cast a fleeting nce at Hamilton, who stood silently to the side. Her gaze was light and almost indifferent, but beneath ity an unmistakable undercurrent of menace. Hamilton felt the weight of her eyes settle upon him like an invisible frost. After a moment, Dani turned away, leaving her cold presence lingering in the air.

The chill she had cast melted away, and Hamilton exhaled in relief. He studied Niks with sharp concern. “What did Dani mean by her words? What else are you managing outside the McCoy Group?”

Cornered, Niks had no choice but to reveal the truth. Hamilton’s face drained of color, his aged features trembling with a fury that threatened to spill over. This was the son he had once held in the highest esteem, the very heir he had chosen for the McCoy Group. He had always said, “My sons may not be perfect, but their hearts are firmly with the McCoy Group.” Now, a deep humiliation pierced his pride.

In a dawning moment of realization, Hamilton understood the meaning behind Dani’s cryptic smile as she left: all that he valued most—hispany, its future heir, and the trust he had ced in his family—had been irrevocablypromised. He stood frozen, shock crashing over him like a wave.

    ???? ??????? ?? ?????????.???

Niks felt the unease in Hamilton’s eyes but knew there was no time to hesitate. “Dani will definitely go after my private assets. What should we do?”

Hamilton’s expression hardened, his gaze turning cold and fierce. He strode to the window and issued amand to his loyal assassins without turning back. “Guard that ind with your lives. If anyone dares to threaten it, eliminate them—no matter who they are.”

Niks was stunned as his gaze rose slowly to meet Hamilton’s, whose face was a mask of cold, unshakable resolve. It was clear that Hamilton intended to kill Dani.

“Dani is everything to Cedric. If anything happens to her, he will lose controlpletely.”

Niks couldn’t shake the feeling that if anything happened to Dani, Cedric would spiral into madness far more uncontroble than the chaos Dani had unleashed today; his descent would be tenfold, even a hundred times worse.
