Chapter 1380

    ?Chapter 1380:

As the spotlight shone on him, Alexander bowed slightly to the woman and began to dance. Yet even as he moved across the floor, his gaze never left Dani.

Hamilton let out a quiet chuckle and drifted to her side. “Dani, you still have it—always one step ahead, slipping the noose before it tightens.”

Sheughed softly, a hint of derision in her tone. “Interesting. The traps I escape are always the ones you set. It must sting, Mr. McCoy. Try not to be upset.”

She turned her gaze to his secretary. “Sorry you didn’t get the photo you wanted.”

Effortlessly, she lifted her phone and captured Hamilton’s furious scowl. “That expression is priceless. I’m keeping it.”

Over her shoulder, she passed the phone to Carol. “Send it to the team. I want this stered on every screen in Oiscoll within the hour.”

A deration like that might once have sounded like empty bravado, but not anymore. Earlier that afternoon, Dani had acquired the media firm that dictated Oiscoll’s trending headlines.

Hamilton, still clueless, scoffed sharply. “What makes you think posting dirt on me is as easy as snapping your fingers? Nothing goes live unless I say so. You know that by now.”

Dani arched an eyebrow, feigning surprise. “Such a domineering streak. Should I be frightened?”

Carol stepped forward, voice crisp. “It’s live. Top of the trending chart—exploding.”

Hamilton’s smug smile faltered as his secretary fumbled to unlock his phone. Whispers rippled through the room. No one believed Dani—surely she was bluffing.

Then the secretary read aloud, voice trembling. “Hamilton’s livid face.”

Three words. That was all it took. Hamilton erupted in rage, lunging forward to rip the phone from his secretary’s hands, eyes zing as he red at the screen.

Fury surged through Hamilton as he spun on his heel. He shouted to his secretary, “Get me Allen Griffin right now! Who authorized using my name in those headlines? I didn’t. Is he trying to get himself killed?”

    The secretary nodded. “Yes, sir.”

As he turned to carry out the order, Dani stepped forward. “Don’t bother. Allen’s out of the country on vacation—he sold thepany to me.” A smirk tugged at her lips as she watched Hamilton’s expression twist in disbelief. “So if you have something toin about, you’ll need to say it to me.”

Hamilton hadn’t seen iting. While he was still ying defense, Dani had quietly moved several steps ahead, sealing deals before he even noticed. These were major acquisitions, independent of the McCoy family’s resources, yet theymanded immense influence.

She controlled the news sector, with its deep roots and massive pull in Oiscoll. She held sway in the film industry, now a heavyweight force. Even tourism—one of the city’s most reliable revenue streams—was firmly in her grasp. And she wasn’t finished: her next target was education, with the first steps already underway.

By the time he fully understood the scope of her power, Hamilton was frozen in ce. A chill ran through him. Dani wasn’t just bold—she was dangerous. While he was busy posturing, she had built her empire with precision and ruthless efficiency.
