“Tony, spread the word–round up every criminal in Magnolia Town who’s been involved in human trafficking or illegal surrogacy and egg trafficking, and throw them in jail.” Andrew’s voice was cold as he spoke into the phone.
“And remember–don’t let the Evans family find out about this.” He intended to deal with the Evans family personally.
“And leave that Dr. Lewis to me,” Andrew added. “I’ll take care of him myself.”
Hisst words were enunciated with unnerving rity, and in the darkness, they carried a bone- chilling edge.
“Yes, Mr. Shea,” Tony replied.
Jenny quietly praised Andrew in her mind. She couldn’t help but think, ‘If you’d acted like this earlier, Olivia would’ve been your girlfriend by now!’
The Shea family making a move meant Magnolia Town was essentially finished.
But at that moment, Steven was feeling smug, convinced he was about to be saved.
He secretly mocked Olivia’s stupidity for actually dumping him at the police station. After all, the police here would never help her.
On the surface, however, he put on an ingratiating smile. “Well, here we are. About the antidote-”
Oliviazily raised an eyebrow. She didn’t bother untying Steven’s acupoints; she simply dumped him at the station entrance and feigned helplessness. “Antidote? I don’t have one.”
She never made antidotes when she created poisons.
Steven stared at her in confusion. Before he could get angry, Olivia grabbed him single–handedly and tossed him in front of the station door.
He wondered, ‘Where the hell does she get that kind of strength? She just picked up me, a grown
man, with one hand?‘
Olivia’s movements were smooth and fluid, but they startled Paul,
Paul didn’t understand who would dare provoke him like this. Storming outside in anger, he was met with a surprising scene.
Steven sprawled on the ground, and Olivia pinning him down with one foot, rolling him around like a ball. She arched an eyebrow at Paul.
Seeing this, Paul roared at her, “Let Dr. Lewis go! Who are you toe into Magnolia Town and act

tough? Assault is a crime, and I can order your arrest right now.”

“Arrest me?” Olivia found itughable. “You’ve got it all wrong–you should be arresting him.
“He tried to force me to donate eggs, and he’s hurt countless young women. That’s got to be worth a few decades in prison, right?”
Steven, his face pinned under Olivia’s foot, was seething with humiliation. He spat out viciously, “Mr. Lowell, arrest her! She’s the one Gina brought back, and she’s streamed everything happening in town. She poisoned Gina, Donald, and me.
“Just grab her, delete all the evidence, force her to hand over the antidote, and then find some excuse to kill her.”
Desperate and grasping at straws, Stevenpletely forgot that Olivia was still livestreaming at that very moment.
“Shut up.” Olivia stepped down hard on Steven’s mouth.
She rubbed her forehead, then lifted her gaze toward Paul. “You don’t arrest the criminals, but you want to arrest me? Mr. Lowell, is this how you do your job as a cop?”
Paul’s eyes flicked as he calcted his next move. Clearly, using force against this girl wouldn’t work -he’d have to y weak first.
So, he stered on a fawning smile. “Miss, hear me out. Let Dr. Lewis go first. If he’s as guilty as you say, I promise I won’t just let it slide.”
Olivia blinked her clear, bright eyes, feigning innocence. “Really?”
“Of course.” Paul nodded emphatically–while inwardly nning to arrest this arrogant girlter and teach her a brutal lesson.
“But I don’t believe you,” Olivia said slowly. “If you were truly fair in enforcing thew, the number of missing girls wouldn’t be growing.”
As she spoke, she pressed harder on Steven, making him whimper helplessly.
“Miss, let’s talk this out. No need for violence,” Paul said, worried for Steven’s safety and trying to cate her. At the same time, he gave a subtle signal to the men nearby.
Of course, Olivia noticed the gesture. She swiftly kicked Steven far across the floor.
Paul hurried forward, and when he saw Steven’s miserable state, he was livid.
“You little brat–who gave you the guts to hurt him?” he barked.
“He’smitted countless crimes–what’s wrong with me beating him?” Olivia tilted her head, propping her chin on one hand. “You’re the police chief. Don’t you care about thew?”

Paul burst into wild, mockingughter, the fat on his face quivering. “Thew? Let me tell something–in Magnolia Town, I am thew. And Dr. Lewis is my honored guest.
you
“Whether it’s you or those other women–if you were tricked intoing here, it’s because you’re stupid. You deserved it.”
Oliviazily held her pendant in her hand. “So this is what you said when Sophie, Ang, and all those other women escaped and came to you for help?”
In truth, Paul had sent every one of those women back into the hellhole they’d escaped from.
“Sophie? Ang?” Paul didn’t recognize the names. He looked down at Steven. “You know them?”
Dr. Lewis answered with difficulty, “I’ve slept with them. One was for surrogacy, the other for egg
donation.”
“And you hurt him like this over that?” Paul nced at Olivia with open disdain. “You women are all the same–never learn your lesson until your body’s ruined.”
He waved his hand, signaling the men around him. “Get her. Take care of her.”
“But since she’s this pretty, I’ll try her first.” Paul added with a sinister grin. He lunged toward Olivia.
Olivia chuckled softly, then addressed the air. “Viewers, remember to call the police for me, okay?”
Not that she even needed to ask–by now, her livestream was filled with police officers, many of them retired detectives.
They were stunned by Paul’s shamelessness. In all their years of work, none of them had ever heard anything so vile.
One after another, they volunteered to take down Magnolia Town, and no one could stop them.
Today, they were determined to get justice for the girls who had suffered.
Paul gave a coldugh, pletely missing the point in Olivia’s words. “Call the police? I am the police. Who else do you think you can go to?”
That was when Steven suddenly remembered–Olivia had been streaming the whole time.
“Mr. Lowell, sh–she’s live,” he blurted to Paul.
Before Steven even finished speaking, one of Paul’s men came over, phone in hand, trembling as
he showed it to him.
On the screen was a three–minute recording–every word Paul had just said.
Paul finally realized what was going on. He red at Olivia. “You… you did this on purpose.”

Then he turned on Steven. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

Steven had no idea himself why he hadn’t thought of it earlier. His mind felt strangely foggy, and a dark suspicion crept in–that Olivia had poisoned him.
Olivia stared back at him, her calm expression hiding a glint of menace.
The drug she’d given Steven wasn’t ordinary. It was a slow–acting poison that would eat away at his mind, make him gradually lose consciousness, until he became nothing more than a drooling idiot.
In the end, he’d bring about his own death.
