But Olivia had no intention of telling Steven any of this.

No matter what sentences the other criminals in Magnolia Town ended up with, Steven was already

    finished.

For Gina and Donald, she had used a different drug–one that would let them briefly recover, only to meet death afterward.

She wasn’t going to let a single one of them walk away.

Paul didn’t care about the livestream. All he knew was that if he caught Olivia, forced her to hand over what she had, and silenced her, everything would be fine.

    “Grab her!” he barked.

The officers under hismand cracked their knuckles and charged at Olivia.

She arched a brow. “Just these few?”

That wasn’t nearly enough to give her a decent workout.

“Cut the crap,” Paul waved impatiently. “Catch her, take her eggs, then kill her and sell the organs.”

A calcting glint shed in his eyes.

Meanwhile, in the car, Edward had already noticed what was happening outside.

Years in the military had taught him to always stay alert.

He had only let his guard down and dozed off because Olivia had made him feel safe. But he hadn’t guessed she’d bring them to the police station.

It was obvious to him that Magnolia Town’s police were in league with the criminals here. Edward shook his head helplessly.

Olivia was still too young, too inexperienced to know how dirty these dealings were.

He couldn’t waste time thinking about it. Turning to Ang, he asked weakly, “Miss… would you help me out of the car…

His voice was faint, sweat beading on his forehead, even lifting a hand looked exhausting.

“Are you sure you can?” Ang asked, worried.

    “I’ll be fine,” Edward replied.

Ang didn’t argue further and helped him down.

His steps were unsteady, like he might copse at any moment. Each footfall felt as if itnded on cotton, soft and unstable.

Even so, he kept his gentleman’sposure–lightly steadying himself with Ang’s arm without leaning on her.

Grinding his teeth, Edward forced himself to quicken his pace, stepping in front of Olivia. “As the team leader of International Crime Patrol, I order you to stand down. One more step forward, and it will be considered an assault on an officer.”

Olivia tilted her head slightly, intrigued. She could tell Edward wasn’t an ordinary man.

International Crime Patrol was an organization founded in the Northern Sea Alliance at the end of thest century, tasked with investigating terrorist activities, organized crime, drug trafficking, and arms smuggling.

Its members were chosen from childhood and trained in secret. By rights, they were never supposed to reveal their identities.

But with the situation this urgent, Edward had no choice.

“International Crime Patrol? What the hell is that?” Paul eyed him in confusion. “You can barely stand–team leader, my ass. Quit pretending.”

“Get them all,” he ordered his men.

Paul nned to take Olivia, Edward, and Ang, kill them, and strip their bodies clean for organs.

Suddenly, the sound of tires skidding over the ground rang out.

One car after another drove in, the grass on the ground swaying with the movement.

Several of Paul’s officers were stunned. They had never seen cars like these before.

They still didn’t realize how serious the situation was. One after another, they craned their necks, eager to see who was getting out of the vehicles.

Aside from inclothes officers, the most eye–catching were Jenny in her soft pink outfit and

    Andrew in casual clothes.

Andrew stepped out from the darkness. The headlights behind him cast a glow that split his face into two–one half hidden in shadow, the other lit up.

He had great proportions: broad shoulders, narrow waist, long legs, turning an ordinary shirt and ck pants into a perfect silhouette.
