?Chapter 1795:
“You’ll hear it whether you like it or not,” Shaun retorted, his toneced with stubborn defiance.
With another scornful huff, she raised her hand and pped him once more.
Shaun, caughtpletely off guard, froze in disbelief. He cradled his stinging cheek, his words tumbling out in a stammer. “Even if I go through with the surgery, I might still be confined to a wheelchair forever. I don’t want you to be tied to me.”
Tracy’s expression remained unreadable as she lifted her hand again, poised to strike.
“Stop, stop, stop! I’ll keep my mouth shut!” Shaun recoiled, shrinking into himself, his voice tinged with panic.
Unfazed, Tracy brought her hand down with force, nding a sharp smack across his forehead.
Now truly incensed, Shaun erupted. “I never knew you had such a violent streak! How many times have you hit me now?”<fn528d> N?w ?ovel chapt?rs are published on find{n}ovel</fn528d>
Tracy offered no reply, her silence chilling as she delivered yet another p, this time squarely across his nose.
Shaun shielded his face with both hands, thoroughly cowed. “Alright, alright! Just tell me what you want me to do!”
“Keep the promise you made to me,” Tracy said icily, her voice cutting like a winter wind. “Or I’ll p you again.”
And with that, she struck his exposed right cheek with a resounding crack.
Utterly defeated, Shaun drew in several ragged breaths, struggling to regain hisposure before whispering hoarsely, “Fetch Elyse.” Too frail to rise, Tracy fumbled with her phone and sent a quick message to Elyse.
Elyse hurried back into the room, her eyes widening in shock as theynded on the vivid red marks blooming across Shaun’s face. “You… were you… struck?” she asked, her voice trembling with disbelief.
Shaun covered his face with his hands, mumbling, “I just ran into something.”
Elyse arched an eyebrow and teased, “You ran into something hard enough to leave handprints all over your face?”

Shaun crossed his arms and huffed. “Yeah, well… I did.”
Elyse didn’t press the issue, but the knowing glint in her eyes said she wasn’t fooled. “Oh, got it. Somebody needed a little tough love, huh?”
Tracy let out an exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes. Satisfied that she had made her point, she didn’t waste another breath on Shaun. Instead, she slowly rose to her feet, preparing to leave.
“I’ll walk you back to your room,” Elyse said.
“It’s alright. I can handle it myself.” Tracy waved her off and slowly made her way out.
As soon as Tracy was gone, Shaun turned to Elyse. “Why are you still here?”
Elyse folded her arms. “You asked me toe, but now you’re just sitting there, saying nothing. So, what’s the deal?” She raised a hand as if to smack him. “Do you want a p from me?”
Shaun flinched, instinctively shielding his face. “Oh, right. Please go get the doctor and Jayden.”
