“Do I have to ask about this one or keep my mouth shut about it?” Pierce raised an eyebrow, leaning casually against the tree. His smirk was infuriating, like he already knew the answer but just wanted to hear me say it.

Izily licked my lips and shrugged, my mind already racing. *Cruel woman,* I thought, ncing back at the closed door. She’d messed with my head, my world, and now she was sleeping like nothing happened.

“Guess that’s my answer,” Pierce said, pushing off the tree. His eyes flicked to the door for a second, then back to me. ” I’m curious.”

“You’re always curious,” I shot back, my tone sharp but yful.

He shrugged, that damn smirk never wavering. “With a lot of things.”

I turned away, sauntering toward the shed like I didn’t have a care in the world. Inside, my head was spinning. Sleep? Yeah, right. None of us were getting any of that tonight.

Pierce followed and I knew he would. That piece of shit can’t keep his mouth.

“You know,” he started, voice low and irritatingly calm, “she’s got you wrapped around her little finger. It’s kind of pathetic.”

I froze, my hand tightening on the shed door handle. My stomach churned, but I kept my back to him, my voice steady. “Careful, Pierce. You’re pushing your luck.”

He chuckled, the sound grating. “Am I? Come on, Grayson. We’re in deep shit here. You’ve lost everything.”

I spun around, shoving him hard against the tree. His back hit the bark with a thud, but he didn’t flinch, his smirk still in ce. My fingers curled into his cor, my voice a growl. “You sold your sister to Riot–”

    “He did what?”

    Fuck.

My eyes widened and there she is, holding her breath while looking at us. Shit. Shit. It’s not my intention but it’s done.

I push Pierce on the ground, looking at Jessica’s pained expression. She’ll know about it

    anyway.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” she hissed, her voice trembling but sharp enough to sting.

I didn’t answer. I couldn’t. My chest heaved, the wolf inside me snarling, begging to finish what I’d started. Pierce groaned, trying to push himself up, but I stepped closer, my shadow falling over him like a warning.

“Stay down,” I growled, the words low and feral, and he froze.

Jessica stepped between us, her hands pressing against my chest. “Grayson, stop! That’s my brother!”

    “Who sold you to me.”

Great. Now, it’s damn full force. Riot appears holding some kind of metal which I don’t know where he got in this secluded ce.

We had some talk earlier and we discovered something.

    One of us is lying.

My hand shoots out, grabbing Pierce’s wrist and twisting until the bone gives way. He howls, thrashing uselessly under my weight.

Jessica’s fists pound against my back, but I don’t budge. “Please, Grayson, please!”

Riot’s grin is sharp as he tosses the metal pipe from one hand to the other. “Figured it out, didn’t you?” His voice is a low drawl, but his eyes are wild. “One of us is ying dirty.”

Pierce’s wrist snaps under my grip, the sound like a wet crack. He screams, but I don’t let go. My knee digs into his chest, pinning him to the ground. “What did you do this time, Pierce?” I growl, my

    voice raw.

Jessica’s punches falter as she sobs. “Grayson, stop! You’re going to kill him!”

I don’t care. Riot steps closer, dragging the pipe along the ground. The screech sets my teeth on edge. “Want me to finish it?” he asks, tilting his head like he’s offering me dessert.

“No!” Jessica lunges at Riot, but he shoves her back with augh. She hits the dirt, breathless.

“Your turn,” he says to me, tossing the pipe. I catch it mid–air, the weight solid in my hand. Pierce’s eye is already swelling shut, but he’s still staring at me, pleading,

I raise the pipe. “Last chance. What did you do, beta?”

    Beta.

As soon as those words left my mouth, Pierce did not hide his true face.

I’ve never thought I’ll be fucking betrayed by anyone but him.

    That’s fucking right.

    Pierce betrayed me. Us. Again.

Fuck. How can he be so stupid?

His lips curl into a bloody smile. “You really wanna know?” he whispers, his voice barely audible. “I sold you out, Grayson. Every secret. Every weakness. They know everything.”

My grip tightens, and the pipe digs deeper into his skin. Behind me, Jessica’s voice cracks as she pleads, “Grayson, please, don’t do this! He’s not worth it!”

But she’s wrong. He’s worth every second of this.

Riot steps forward, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. “What are you waiting for?” he asks, his voice dripping with mockery. “You gonna let him walk away after what he did?”

I don’t answer. Instead, I swing the pipe in a wide arc, aiming to hit except I couldn’t. I fucking

    can’t.

The pipe hovers in the air, trembling in my grip. Pierce’s smile widens, blood dripping from his split lip. “You can’t do it, can you?” he taunts, his voice hoarse butced with venom. “You’re weak, Grayson. Always have been.”

Jessica’s voice cuts through the tension, sharp and desperate. “Grayson, stop! This isn’t you!”

But it *is* me. This rage, this betrayal–it’s all me.

Riot steps closer, his shadow looming over Pierce. “Let me finish him,” he growls, cracking his knuckles.

I don’t answer. Instead, I drop the pipe and grab Pierce by the cor, hauling him up. His body ms against the wall with a sickening thud. My fist connects with his ribs, once, twice, until I hear the crack. He coughs, blood sttering my face, but I don’t stop.

“You’re right,” I snarl, leaning in so close our foreheads almost touch. “I can’t kill you. Not yet.”

I let go, and Pierce crumples to the ground, gasping for air. Jessica screams, but I don’t look at her. Instead, I turn to Riot. “Tie him up. We’re not done here.”

“They areing, Grayson. A lot of them.”

Jessica’s tears fall fast now, her hands clutching at my shoulders as she tries to pull me back. “Grayson, stop! This isn’t you!” she begs, her voice cracking. I shove her off, harder than I mean to, and she stumbles back, hitting the wall. Her eyes widen, hurt and fear mixing in

Pierce is on the ground, coughing up blood. His face is a mess of bruises and cuts, but he’s still smirking. That damn smirk.

I grab his hair, yanking his head back. “You think this is funny?” I snarl.

Heughs, low and gurgling. “You’re pathetic, Gray. Always letting your anger take over. Always losing control.”

I punch him again, and this time I hear the crack of his nose breaking. Blood sprays across the floor, and Jessica lets out a choked sob. “Grayson, please!” she cries.

Riot steps forward, his voice cold. “We don’t have time for this. They’reing.”

I nce at him, then back at Pierce. “Then we make this quick.”

I reach for the rope Riot tossed me, tying Pierce’s hands behind his back. His breathing is ragged, but he’s still conscious. Good.

“You’re gonna pay for what you did,” I whisper in his ear. “Every. Single. Thing.”
