As soon as the voice echoed, everyone turned to the door. They watched as Don Albert entered the room, apanied by the manager.
Samuel recognized Don Albert immediately. Realizing the significance of his presence, he quickly stepped forward and asked respectfully, “Don Albert, what brings you here in person?”
To Samuel’s surprise, Don Albert shot him a cold look and asked, “Were you the one who called Mr. Wilson a pathetic fool earlier?”
Samuel was taken aback. What was going on? Did Don Albert know Jacob?
Rushing to rify, he said, “Don Albert, this must be a misunderstanding. Jacob and I are both members of the Calligraphy and Painting Association, and we share a close bond. It’s only natural for us to poke fun at each other from time to time.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Don Albert frowned slightly, then turned to Jacob and said with respect, “Mr. Wilson, I truly didn’t expect your presence at Heaven Springs today. Please ept my apologies for theck of proper wee!”
The scene left everyone in shock!
Samuel, in particr, was sweating profusely, utterly astonished by what he was witnessing. How could someone as notorious and esteemed as Don Albert show such deference to Jacob, whom he had just insulted?
Wasn’t this all a bit too absurd?
It wasn’t just Samuel who was taken aback; even Mr. Price and the other directors were left speechless.
Jacob, clearly surprised, asked, “Do you know me?”
With a humble demeanor, Don Albert replied, “I had the privilege of meeting you when Master Wade instructed me to deal with Aaron Phillips and his son-inw, Jake, at Glorious Club.”
Jacob pressed further, “When you mention Master Wade, are you referring to my son-inw, Charlie?”
Don Albert affirmed, “Yes! I mean Master Charlie Wade!”
Suddenly, Jacob understood!
Initially shocked by the respect shown by someone of Don Albert’s stature, Jacob realized it was all due to his son-inw, Charlie.
Despite being a conman, Charlie had connections that Jacob could now benefit from, at least until the truth about him came to light.
At that moment, Don Albert pointed at Samuel and asked Jacob, “Mr. Wilson, I heard this person disrespecting you earlier. Would you like me to give him a lesson?”
Samuel’s face drained of color, and he quickly eximed, “Jacob, Brother Jacob, we’re both members of the Calligraphy and Painting Association. Since we’re such good brothers, can’t you put in a good word for me?”
“Why should I defend you?” Jacob shot back, ring at Samuel. “You were the one who called me a useless and pathetic fool, iming I should be serving you tea. So, why should I speak on your behalf?”
Samuel pleaded, “Oh,e on, dear brother! I was just joking around!”<fna6ff> ??? ????? ???????s ??? ?????s??? ?? Find?Novel</fna6ff>
Jacob chuckled, “A pathetic fool like me would never consider you my dear brother. I think it’s best we draw a clear line between us now!”
Samuel realized Jacob was still furious and filled with resentment. He regretted his earlier behavior. Had he known Don Albert would show such respect to Jacob, he would have thought twice before belittling him.
Don Albert red at Samuel and said coldly, “You’re on my turf, yet you dare to disrespect Mr. Wilson? Do you even know what ‘death’ means?”
Samuel turned pale, looking utterly cowardly, unable to form a coherent response as his lips trembled in fear.<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
