Two BMW cars trailed behind each other as they made their way back to the vi at Thompson First.
Jacob’s frustration intensified as ine persistently scolded him during the drive home.
When he first got the call from ine, he had been busy serenading his first love with a love song. This left him feeling guilty. Upon hearing her angry voice on the phone, he rushed to the hospital without dy.
After taking a moment to calm himself, Jacob couldn’t shake the feeling that ine was simply incorrigible.
As a result, his desire to divorce her grew even stronger.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Once they arrived at their destination, Jacob got out of the car and retrieved the crutches they had bought from the hospital, handing them directly to ine.
ine had expected Jacob to assist her in getting inside the house, even imagining he would carry her. To her surprise, he merely passed her the crutches.
Holding the crutches, ine shouted, “Jacob Wilson! You old bastard! My leg is broken, and all you can do is hand me these crutches?”
Jacob retorted, “You’ll have to get used to these crutches eventually. Otherwise, how will you manage to go to the toilet on your own?”
ine snapped back, “What do you mean? Are you saying I can’t rely on you anymore?”
Jacob replied curtly, “Don’t forget, we’re already separated!”
ine was about tounch into another tirade when Charlie pulled into the driveway.
As ire stepped out of the car, ine wasted no time in venting her frustrations. ire, wanting to diffuse the situation, quickly supported her mother, saying, “Oh, Mom! Please don’t stay mad at Dad. You need to take care of yourself; getting angry will only make you feel worse.”
ine felt her anger wane as she suddenly became dizzy, realizing she hadn’t eaten for too long and was nearing faintness from hunger.
Weakly, she said, “I can’t take it anymore. I’m starving! Where’s Charlie? Hurry up and cook for me—I want braised pork and stewed beef!”
Charlie looked confused and replied, “I didn’t have time to buy groceries today. All we have left is some vermicelli. How about I whip up a bowl of noodles?”
ine eximed, “I’ve been starving for two days! What good is a bowl of noodles?”
Charlie responded nonchntly, “Okay, I’ll go get some groceries now.”
ine, anxious, replied, “By the time you get back, I’ll have already fainted from hunger!”
Charlie suggested, “Should I order a takeaway for you?”
ine shot back, “That’ll take at least thirty to forty minutes! Just make me a bowl of noodles now, and don’t forget to add two eggs!”
Charlie shrugged, saying, “We don’t have any eggs left at home. I haven’t had time to shop.”
ine then requested, “Can I at least have vored noodles? Add some vegetables; I haven’t eaten in two days, and I feel like my mouth is rotting!”
Charlie replied, “All I can make is a bowl of clear noodle soup with the vermicelli we have.” <fnb11a> Get full chapters from find?novel</fnb11a>
Frustrated, ine stomped her feet and pointed at Charlie, asking ire, “ire, why is this useless person purposely making things harder for me? Why is there no food in the house?”
ire wore an awkward expression, unsure of how to respond.
Charlie then exined, “We’ve been too busy searching for you over the past two days, which is why we didn’t cook or shop for groceries.”
Feeling miserable yet too weak to express her anger, ine told Charlie, “Then hurry and make me a bowl of noodles!”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
