The Amazing son in law Chapter 976

Jeff waved his hand enthusiastically before eximing, “Absolutely! Why not? Just bring us the dish!”

After finishing his sentence, Jeff added, “Oh, and please bring us two bottles of Ace of Spades champagne!”

The waiter responded, “Sir, each bottle of Ace of Spades champagne costs $18,888.00. Additionally, once opened, the bottle is non-refundable. Is that eptable?”

Without hesitation, Jeff replied, “Yes! Please serve it as soon as you can!”

Upon hearing that Jeff had just ordered two bottles of champagne priced at $18,888.00 each, everyone at the table shifted ufortably.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Doing a quick calction, they realized that the meal had already exceeded sixty thousand dors. Even if they split the dinner bill, each person would still be responsible for thirty thousand dors!

If they divided the total bill equally, each individual would still face a hefty charge of two thousand dors!

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Caleb spoke up, “Jeff, we really don’t need to go all out like this. We’re here to wee Mrs. Lewis back home after her recovery. Besides, she won’t be drinking any champagne, so why order two bottles?”

Jeff replied dismissively, “Caleb, this is why I look down on you for being poor. Why are you so worried over a meal?”

Without waiting for Caleb’s response, Jeff instructed the waiter, “Bring us arge te of grouper and one serving of abalone and shark fin for everyone!”

Jeff was eager to order as much as possible, believing it would help him earn more money that evening.

Meanwhile, everyone else felt a growing sense of concern. Even if they shared the bill, they would still be stuck with a significant expense for dinner.

However, no one feltfortable voicing their concerns. They were too embarrassed to suggest they no longer wanted to continue with the dinner, especially with Mrs. Lewis present.

Mrs. Lewis, feeling the tension, spoke up anxiously, “Jeff, we really don’t need to be so extravagant. You’re ordering too many expensive dishes. I’m serious; just looking at the prices is making my heart race. Can we please opt for simpler, more affordable home-cooked meals instead?”

Jeff, however, was not about to let go of any chance to profit. He had no intention of settling for a simple meal that would only cost a few thousand dors—he aimed to make arger profit.

So, he quickly replied, “Mrs. Lewis, just rx and enjoy this meal. We’re treating you tonight. You raised us, and we can’t forget your kindness. It doesn’t matter to us if we spend a little more to honor you. I’d dly pay thirty, forty, or even fifty thousand dors for this dinner!”<fncdb0> Discover more novels at Find?Novel</fncdb0>

After making his statement, Jeff deliberately scanned the table, observing everyone’s reactions.

In reality, he was trying to position himself as the moralpass of the group, suggesting that since Mrs. Lewis had been so generous to them all, it was only right to treat her to an exceptional dinner.

As expected, once he made this im, no one dared to voice any objections or dissatisfaction.

Everyone could only silently reconcile in their minds that since they were treating Mrs. Lewis, it was eptable to splurge a bit.

At that moment, Charlie began to sense something was off. Based on how Jeff had recklessly crashed his car to avoid honoring a bet, it was clear he wasn’t genuinely generous; he was more of a schemer.

If Jeff wasn’t generous, then why was he suddenly splurging on expensive dishes?

Could there be a hidden advantage for him in ordering the pricier items?

Yet, since Jeff had stated he would only pay half the bill, it was unlikely he was simply trying to entice others to dine at an upscale restaurant.

This left only one possibility—Jeff might be nning to im reimbursement for the meal!

It appeared that Jeff was trying to take advantage of everyone. If that was the case, Charlie decided to turn the tables on him.

With this in mind, Charlie suggested, “How about this? I’ll cover half the dinner bill with Jeff. We can split the total evenly. Even if the meal costs two hundred thousand dors, it’ll be just the two of us sharing the expense!”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
