The Amazing son in law Chapter 977

As soon as Jeff caught wind of Charlie’s words, a smile spread across his face, and he retorted sarcastically, “Oh, Charlie, you really excel at bragging!”

Charlie managed a faint smile before responding, “What is there to brag about? If you don’t believe me, let’s both chip in one hundred thousand dors upfront and treat ourselves to a two-hundred-thousand-dor dinner tonight. How does that sound?”<fn8ff8> Checktest chapters at F?ndNovel</fn8ff8>

Jeff’s eyes widened with excitement at Charlie’s suggestion. “Is this for real?” he eximed.

Charlie whipped out his cell phone, opened his mobile banking app, and instructed the waiter, “Pleasee over and scan the QR code for the payment.”

Seeing this, Jeff could hardly contain his excitement. He had initially nned to splurge on dinner toter im arger reimbursement from his boss. However, his friends from the orphanage were being particrly rowdy while he was trying to order, which was quite annoying.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Now, with Charlie willing to split the bill and contribute a whopping one hundred thousand dors, it felt like free money to him!

Though he would also be putting in one hundred thousand dors, he stood to im a reimbursement of two hundred thousand dors! After the meal, he could go back to his boss and spin a tale about entertaining a major client, suggesting that he might negotiate a ten-million-dor deal. His boss would undoubtedly approve such a reimbursement.

Jeff had it all figured out; his primary goal was survival!

First, he needed to manipte two of his friends who were seeking his help to make more money. After that, he would head back to the office and secure the two-hundred-thousand-dor reimbursement. This would help him deal with the looming issue involving Caesar Hilton.

As for any potential fallout with his bosster, he decided to postpone worrying about that.

After all, Caesar posed the most immediate threat to him.

At that moment, Jeff eagerly pulled out his phone and said to Charlie, “Alright then! Since you’re so agreeable, I’ll also pay one hundred thousand dors upfront!”

Mrs. Lewis wanted to advise against their decision, but Charlie waved her off, signaling her not to worry.

To Charlie, it didn’t matter whether the meal cost one hundred or two hundred thousand dors. This amount was inconsequential to him; he simply didn’t want Jeff to seed in his scheme.

Just then, the waiter arrived with the POS machine. They both used their phones to scan the QR code, each transferring one hundred thousand dors from their banking apps.

Once they confirmed that the two-hundred-thousand-dor payment wasplete, Jeff grinned and dered, “In that case, let’s go all out tonight! Waiter, please bring us the finest wine, the most exquisite dishes, and all the seafood you have! We’re going to make the most of this two-hundred-thousand-dor dinner!”

The waiter, taken aback by the extravagance, beamed and replied, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything. I’ll bring the wine right away!”

The thought of indulging in a two-hundred-thousand-dor meal thrilled many of their friends at the table. William, who had been feeling quite down earlier, now wore a wide smile.

He had worried about the financial burden of the meal, but now he was set to enjoy a feast that had already been paid for in advance. He wouldn’t have to spend a dime! William was so ecstatic, he felt a wave of nauseaing on, as if he might need to empty his stomach just to make room for more delicious food.

Many of his less fortunate friends shared a simr mindset. Spending their own money was more ufortable than facing a beating. But if someone else was footing the bill, they felt happier than ever.

In simpler terms, they were just freeloaders.

Shortly after, the waiter brought out lobsters, abalones, and an array of other seafood. They even served a whole roasted suckling pig, which not only smelled divine but was also crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

William eagerly dug into thevish spread, consuming as much gourmet food and champagne as he could manage.
