Liam Weaver was shivering as he attempted to clear his nose. To maintain the secrecy of their location, the helicopter that had transported the four of them to the summit of Mount Golim had to depart. Otherwise, they could have stayed inside the chopper for warmth.


    After a few tense minutes, Charlie Wade spotted bright lights cutting through the darkness of the windy mountain road. The lights belonged to two vehicles that were making their ascent up the mountain.


    Isaac also caught sight of the beams of light and eximed in a panic, “Master, that must be them!”


    Charlie nodded with a smile, saying, “I’ve been waiting so long that I nearly dozed off.”


    Don Albert quickly pulled out his pistol, gritting his teeth, “Damn it, I’m about to witness the power of The Eight Heavenly Kings today!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">


    Charlie, seeming unfazed, replied, “Don Albert, holster your weapon. It won’t do you any good against them.”


    Don Albert straightened up, and in that brief moment, he grasped the situation.


    Having witnessed various metaphysical phenomena in the past, including Charlie’s ability to manipte lightning, it didn’t seem too far-fetched that someone could be impervious to bullets with enough cultivation.

    Charlie chuckled. “I’ve grown tired of zapping people with lightning. Besides, today’s attendees are warriors. It’s a perfect opportunity for a simple sparring match.”


    Isaac had never witnessed Charlie vaporizing Jack with lightning firsthand; all he knew about that incident was hearsay. He couldn’t shake the feeling that the lightning strike might have been a fluke since he had yet to see anyone truly control lightning.


    The Wade family was acquainted with many individuals who had metaphysical abilities, but none possessed powers as extraordinary as Charlie’s.


    At that moment, Isaac’s gaze was locked on the two vehicles winding their way up the mountain road. As they drew nearer, Charlie stepped into the center of the road and began to walk towards the approaching cars.

    Duran, sitting in the passenger seat, was starting to feel drowsy, but the driver turned to him and said, “Hey, we’re almost there.”


    Duran quickly asked, “How much farther?”


    “About five more kilometers,” the driver replied.


    Duran stretched and grumbled, “Finally, we’re almost at our destination. Everyone, stay alert. No matter how weak the enemy may seem, we must remain vignt.”


    One of his younger brothers grabbed a walkie-talkie and announced, “Everyone stay sharp; we’re approaching our destination!”


    The car behind them received the message and responded, “Understood, we’ve alreadypleted our warm-ups.”


    As the cars continued their ascent, they turned a corner, and the headlights illuminated a figure standing in the middle of the road.
