The Amazing son in law Chapter 1555

    “Discover who you truly are?!”

Despite feeling a twinge of fear regarding Charlie’s strength, Hank couldn’t help but wear a sneer on his face upon hearing those words.

With a sarcastic tone, he looked at Charlie and dered, “I already know all about you. You’re just the live-in son-inw of the Wilson family from Aurous Hill, right? A poor family in a small city. What’s there to impress me?”

    “Exactly!”

Carl interjected coldly, “You need to understand something. If youpile all the prominent families in Aurous Hill, theirbined worth wouldn’t even amount to half of what our Sun family possesses!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

While Carl’s words may have seemed arrogant and exaggerated, there was a basis of truth in his statement.

Indeed, pared to Eastcliff, Aurous Hill is a rtively small city.

Furthermore, the Moore family, recognized as the top family in Aurous Hill, boasts assets exceeding 100 billion dors, which is a far cry from the wealth of the Sun family.

This context gave Orrin the audacity to make such boastful remarks earlier.

At that moment, Charlie maintained a calm demeanor and countered, “Have you ever stopped to think? How could I possibly have met Uncle Orrin if I were merely the son-inw of a poor family in a small town?”

Orrin nodded, amusement dancing in his eyes as he nced at his two younger brothers and two nephews.

Hank let out a scoff, “Do you really think I’m oblivious to your antics? You’re just a fraud dabbling in Fengshui!”

With evident disdain, Hank continued, “Sure, you might have duped a few locals in Aurous Hill, but this is Eastcliff we’re talking about—not Aurous Hill! Here, the true elites are hidden. You might get by in Aurous Hill, but do you really think you can thrive in Eastcliff? There are countless exceptional people here, and any old fortune-teller from the Forty-Nine City would probably outshine you!”

Charlie nodded thoughtfully and sighed, “You know, your words really hit home. If you hadn’t mentioned the difference between Aurous Hill and Eastcliff, I might have forgotten: I’m not actually from Aurous Hill—I’m originally from Eastcliff!”

“What?” Hank frowned, taken aback. “You’re from Eastcliff?”

“Yes.” Charlie smiled and nodded, cing a hand on his chest. “I’m a true Eastcliff native. I moved to Aurous Hill when I was eight.”

Hank’s sneer returned, “So you had no connections in Eastcliff before eight? You left at that age, and now you think you can act tough in front of me after all this time?”

Orrin chimed in with a grin, “My second child, don’t you find Charlie somewhat familiar? Doesn’t he remind you of someone?”

Hank squinted, scrutinizing Charlie closely. “What’s special about this kid? He’s just average, not nearly as striking as I was when I was his age.”

Orrinughed heartily, “Second, I didn’t realize how much you’ve regressed under my protection. After all these years of pampering, you’ve really let yourself go!”

Hank was taken aback and instinctively asked, “What are you getting at? Speak inly!”

Orrin nodded and replied, “Alright! I’ll be straightforward!”

Rising to his feet, Orrin adopted a haughty tone, “Do you remember my older brother who ended up as a beggar? The Sun family owes its current status to his rise to prominence over the past decade or two! Even when our father was alive, he was treated with utmost respect. Back then, you were just a shallow brat, and our father didn’t want you getting too close to my elder brother for fear of losing the family’s face. Do you recall my eldest brother’s surname?”

Hank had long forgotten about Charlie’s father. After all, many years had passed since his death, and it’s not unusual for rtives to lose touch with the memories of the deceased. Hank’s friendship with Charlie’s father had waned over time.

Back in the day, Hank had only watched in jealousy as his older brother revered the shining star of the Wade family. Following the passing of Charlie’s father, those memories had faded.

However, now that Orrin had directly brought up his older brother, Hank suddenly recalled the impressive and dignified figure from his past.<fneb86> Find the newest release on F?nd-Novel</fneb86>
