Lady Wilson was seething with rage upon discovering that Jacob had fled.
Her heart ached with a mix of grief and anger as she eximed, “What sort of son is this? Do you not care that your own mother is in danger? Is this even human? It’s utterly beastly!”
Unbeknownst to her, the woman across the street was nearly paralyzed with fear.
She had no idea about theplexities of the rtionship between Jacob and Old Madam Wilson, but she was aware that they were indeed mother and son.
Terrified, she pondered, “This elderly woman and that man are clearly part of the same family, yet they don’t share a home. Instead, they’ve chosen to buy two of the finest vis side by side—units A04 and A05. What kind of family dynamics are at y here? What kind of wealth supports this?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Regret washed over her as she recalled her earlier confrontation with Lady Wilson.
Nervously, she offered a quick apology, “Lady, I’m truly sorry…. I didn’t realize you were a resident of this vi area…. It’s all my fault for earlier; please don’t be harsh with me…”
Lady Wilson snapped back, “So you think pping me and then saying sorry makes everything okay?”
The woman quickly replied, “What can I do to make it right…. Would you like me to let you hit me? I promise I won’t retaliate, no matter how many times you do!”
Lady Wilson clenched her teeth, feeling a strong urge to retaliate against this woman.
Yet, taking a moment to think, she realized that while hitting her might provide temporary satisfaction, it wouldn’t solve anything. Instead, she could seek financialpensation!
With this in mind, Lady Wilson stated coldly, “You insulted me and pped me; surely you owe me somepensation.”
The woman nodded eagerly, “Absolutely! I’m ready to make amends. Just tell me how much you want, and I’ll pay you…”
Lady Wilson opened her mouth to demand $10,000.
However, after a brief pause, she reconsidered. The current Lady Wilson was no longer the same as the once aloof old woman.
Time had changed her circumstances dramatically.
Now, for Lady Wilson, enduring a long day at the supermarket only earned her a mere hundred dors. Therefore, $10,000 felt exorbitant, especially if it risked angering the woman to the point of calling the police for extortion. That could lead to her being arrested!
“These days, it’s tough to earn money; I’m exhausted working for just a hundred dors a day. Honestly, if I could turn a p into a hundred bucks, that wouldn’t be extortion, right?”
With this in mind, Lady Wilson dered firmly, “I’m old, and you pped me; that’s serious business. However, I’m feeling generous today—just give me a hundred dors, and we’ll call it even!”<fnaaa4> Th?s chapter is updated by fι?dnοvel</fnaaa4>
“A hundred?!” The woman was taken aback.
She had assumed that since Lady Wilson resided in the A04 vi, she must have substantial family wealth and would demand a hefty sum for the p.
Instead, she was pleasantly surprised by the modest request.
ted, she eagerly replied, “No problem! I’ll get you the money!”
She quickly retrieved her wallet, pulled out a hundred-dor bill, handed it to Lady Wilson, and then pointed at the security guard, saying, “Lady, we have witnesses here. You agreed to the hundred, and I’m giving you the money now—this means you can’te after meter.”
Lady Wilson’s spirits lifted as she epted the bill.
