The Amazing son in law Chapter 2007

Hannah was taken aback when Old Lady Wilson turned against her at such a critical moment.

She gestured toward therge stic bags filled with food and pleaded, “Mom, you brought back so much! Is it too much to ask for just a few bites? I’ve been starving for ages…”

With a sneer, Lady Wilson retorted, “If you want to eat, you’d better get out and work for your own money. Relying on me, an old woman, to feed you? How shameless can you be?”

Feeling a surge of anxiety, Hannah eximed, “I was trapped by Jacob! If it weren’t for him, I’d be working as a cashier and making more money than you!”

Lady Wilson responded dismissively, “Whether you earn more or less is irrelevant to me. You earn your keep, and I earn mine. None of us is taking advantage of anyone here, so don’t even think about having any of the food I brought. If you want to eat, go earn it yourself!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Hannah shot her a sad yet furious look before storming off. “Lady, aren’t you just asking for trouble? If you keep pushing me, I’ll leave this house for good!”

Lady Wilsonughed and pped her hands in mock delight. “Oh, that would be wonderful! Hurry up and go! I can’t wait to celebrate your departure with firecrackers! If it weren’t for Donald, I would have kicked you out long ago. Why should I keep you around to be a nuisance? If you leave on your own, Donald won’t me me at all!”

Hannah gritted her teeth in frustration. “Fine! We’ll see about that, you old hag.”

Wendy rushed forward, trying to mediate, “Grandmother, please don’t be so harsh on Mom! She’s been hungry for such a long time too; let her have something to eat!”

“Let her eat?” Lady Wilson scoffed. “I wouldn’t give her a single bite, even if I poured it all out for the dogs!”

With that, shemanded, “Hand over the food! You go get the chopsticks, and we’ll have dinner as a family of four while she watches us starve!”<fnd700> Readplete version only at find?novel</fnd700>

Hannah cried out in anger, “Lady Wilson, I married into your family and bore children for the Wilsons, and now you won’t even let me have a bite? You’re truly heartless!”

Mrs. Wilson looked at her with disdain. “If you want to eat, figure it out for yourself. Aren’t you good at finding wild men? Go out and charm another; it might evennd you a spot on the list!”

“You…” Hannah felt a wave of embarrassment mixed with anger wash over her.

Lady Wilson loved to belittle her by bringing up her past at the ck Coal Kiln, and Hannah struggled to find a strong way to rebut those insults.

All she could do was stomp her foot in resentment and dere, “From this day forward, I, Hannah, am severing ties with your Wilson family once and for all!”

With that, she mmed the door and retreated to her room.

Christopher had already lost much of his affection for Hannah and sat in silence, secretly wishing she would just disappear.

However, Harold, who was nearby, found it hard to watch. Though Hannah had done things that brought shame to the family, she was still his mother.

Seeing her on the brink of being forced out, Harold couldn’t help but speak up. “Grandmother, it’s not easy for her either. Please forgive her just this once.”

Lady Wilson responded coldly, “Anyone who speaks in defense of that woman again will be shown the door.”

Harold, already feeling the pangs of hunger, knew he had to choose food over conflict. So, he wisely fell silent.

Wendy quickly fetched some utensils, and alongside Old Lady Wilson, they began pouring leftover rice into a container. Wendy managed to devour a few bites of a steamed bun dipped in vegetable soup before stuffing another bun into her mouth.

Having had her fill, Lady Wilson took the chopsticks and began feeding Jacob and Harold, who were lying on the bed. The two, resembling baby birds in a nest, opened their mouths wide as they were fed, and once they finally had something to eat, both father and son couldn’t help but shed tears.

Seeing them in such a state tugged at Lady Wilson’s heartstrings, and with red eyes, she promised, “Tomorrow, I’ll work again and bring home some noodles and meat. We’ll make dumplings together for the four of us!”

Christopher, still crying, asked, “Mom, can we really have meat-filled dumplings tomorrow?”

Lady Wilson nodded enthusiastically. “Don’t worry! I’ll bring everything back, and then Wendy and I will wrap them up just for you and your father!”
