Charlie made his way directly to Shangri-La, where a group of men organized by Isaac Cameron awaited his arrival at the gate, pushing a trolley.
As soon as he spotted Charlie, one of the men hurriedly approached the car and said respectfully, “Mr. Wade, Mr. Cameron instructed me to prepare some fireworks for you. Would you like me to help you load them into your car?”
Charlie nodded appreciatively, opened the trunk, and responded, “Thank you for your hard work.”
The man quickly waved his hand, saying, “Mr. Wade, you’re too kind. It’s my duty to assist you.”
With that, he began cing severalrge boxes of fireworks into the trunk of Charlie’s BMW. <h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
After expressing his gratitude, Charlie drove back to the vi and called ire, asking her and her parents to get ready. He nned to head out and find a suitable ce to set off fireworks to celebrate the New Year.
ire was thrilled by the idea. She dressed warmly in a thick down jacket and, along with her parents, waited eagerly outside the gate of Thompson First.
As soon as Charlie’s car pulled up, the three family members quickly hopped in.
ire turned to Charlie and asked, “Honey, where are we going to set off the fireworks?”
Charlie smiled and replied, “As long as it’s outside the city limits, it’s all good! You can choose the spot.”
Jacob chimed in with a suggestion, “How about we head to the river? The view is spectacr, and the fireworks will look even more beautiful reflecting off the water!”
ire responded with enthusiasm, “Dad, that’s a fantastic idea! Let’s go to the river!”
Jacob eagerly added, “I know a perfect spot with a spacious riverbank!”
As Charlie listened to his wife and father-inw discuss the river, a memory of Jasmine from the Moore family shed through his mind. He recalled the time Jasmine had given him a ride home, passing by the Yangtze River and inviting him for a stroll along the bank.
At the time, he hadn’t thought much of it and had dly epted. To his surprise, after their walk, Jasmine had dropped him off at Thompson First and then kissed him in the car. That moment lingered in Charlie’s memory, asionally bringing him warmth when he thought of it.
Lost in thought, Charlie followed Jacob’s directions all the way to the Yangtze River. He was taken aback, realizing they were headed to the same spot Jasmine had taken him to before.
Since it was New Year’s Eve, the area was deserted. Once Charlie parked the car, he and Jacob unloaded several boxes of fireworks and made their way to the riverbank.
On the concrete riverbank, Charlie arranged the fireworks at even intervals. Meanwhile, Jacob, unable to contain his excitement, lit two firecrackers in quick session. <fnad1b> Chapters first released on fι?dnοvel</fnad1b>
The cheerful sounds of the firecrackers echoed along the river, instantly creating the festive atmosphere of the New Year.
As thest firecracker fizzled out, Charlie announced to ire, “I’m going to get the fireworks ready!”
ire eagerly pulled out her phone and eximed, “Wait a moment, honey! I’ll start recording!”
“Great!” Charlie replied, and once ire had activated the camera, he lit the fuse of the fireworks.
The vibrant fireworks shot into the sky, bursting above the river and painting the night with brilliant colors. ire danced joyfully on the side, pletely caught up in the moment.
After the first round of fireworks finished, Charlie quickly ignited a second set, then a third and a fourth. By the time all the fireworks had been set off, ire’s cheeks were flushed with excitement!
She hadn’t felt such joy in a long time, celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks that delighted her like a child.
Jacob and ine shared in the joy, and for this family of four, this Lunar New Year felt especially significant.
As midnight approached, the family experienced a level of happiness they had never known before.
At the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, which also marked the first moment of the new year, Charlie lit the final set of fireworks, while Jacob ignited thest firecracker.
ire cupped her hands over her mouth and shouted, “Happy New Year, husband, parents!”
