Xion finds herself unwilling to confront her biological father, Zayne, and her half-siblings. Surprisingly, Charlie feels a sense of relief rather than disappointment at her hesitation.
In Charlie’s view, if someone is capable of attacking their own family, especially their siblings or father, it raises a red g. He believes that no matter how wed a person may be, they should still possess a basic sense of humanity. If someonecks that humanity, then even if they follow orders today, they could just as easily betray their ally tomorrow.
From Charlie’s perspective, although Xion has brought down the Matsumoto family, she is not devoid of humanity. He sees her actions as following orders, much like a soldier who must obey the directives of their superior. A soldier who refuses to follow orders cannot be consideredpetent.
With this in mind, Charlie states, “We both share a deep animosity towards the Banks Family. You have a vendetta against Lord Banks, while I have my grievances with Zayne. You need Lord Banks to provide answers, and I seek the same from Zayne. Therefore, it’s essential for us to join forces and confront the Banks Family together.”
Xion pauses briefly before asking, “Master Wade, your hatred for my father stems from the rebellion that urred. How does that affect our alliance?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Charlie responds with a cold nod, “Zayne was a prominent figure in the anti-Wade alliance. He rallied others to target my father, and while I’m still uncertain about his direct involvement in my father’s death, the mere association with the Anti-Leaf Alliance makes him my enemy!”
She inquires further, “So, Master Wade, will you take my father’s life because of his past with the Anti-Leaf Alliance?”
Charlie contemtes for a few moments before answering seriously, “If Zayne and the Anti-Leaf Alliance weren’t directly responsible for my parents’ deaths, I wouldn’t destroy the Matsumoto family as I would Zayne. I believe in just punishment for those whomit indiscriminate acts of violence. However, if he is connected to my parents’ demise and tries to evade responsibility, I will seek retribution and avenge my tragic parents by taking his life.”
Xion nods slowly. Despite her strong desire to avoid a confrontation between Charlie and her father, she recognizes that shecks the ability to influence the situation, let alone the right to intervene in Charlie’s quest for vengeance for his parents. All she can do is hope that her father, Zayne, is not the one responsible for Charlie’s grief. If he is, she knows that Charlie would easily eliminate him.
Reflecting on this, Xion gazes at Charlie and takes a moment to gather her thoughts before asking, “Young Master Wade, when will I be able to reach out to my mother?”
Charlie replies, “Not just yet. You need to wait a little longer; your current identity is too sensitive. News about you is circting widely across Asia, and the Japanese government is keen on apprehending you. If word gets out that you are still alive, I won’t be able to protect you.” He adds, “I rmend you exercise patience. When the time is right, I will facilitate contact with your mother.”
Xion nods in agreement and responds respectfully, “Of course, Master Wade. I will follow your guidance.”
Charlie affirms, “You should take this time to rest well here.”
“Understood, Master Wade,” Xion replies promptly.
Charlie then recalls something and asks with curiosity, “By the way, I noticed you were training when I entered.”
Xion blushes, remembering she was dressed only in sports attire, and responds, “Yes, Master Wade, I practice every day.”
Intrigued, Charlie inquires, “As a martial artist, what do you primarily practice during your training sessions?”
Xion answers honestly, “Every morning, I focus on Aikido, which has been passed down through the Elms family.”
Charlie asks, “Is Aikido a unique practice of the Elms family?”
Xion rifies, “Not exactly. Aikido is a form of internal martial arts, and it isn’t exclusive to the Elms family.”<fn2ce2> Official source is find{n}ovel</fn2ce2>
Given Charlie’s background, he understands martial arts well. He recalls that he studied Wing Chun with his father while growing up in the Wade family.
