Zara spoke without ncing up, “I haven’t made any progress. I still can’t find him in the video.”
Deana responded sincerely, “Some things are left to fate. If it’s meant to be, no matter how hard you search, it won’t matter; if it’s destined, even if you don’t seek him out, he will find his way to you.”
Zara countered firmly, “I refuse to leave things to fate. It’s too unpredictable. There are countless people in the world, and aside from my immediate neighbors, there are just two individuals who met by chance in a foreignnd. The likelihood of encountering him again by coincidence is nearly zero. If I don’t actively look for him, I fear I may never find him in this lifetime.”
With a hint of sadness in her voice, Zara continued, “Human memory isn’t all that reliable. It’s hard to retain details. Many memories only be clearer through repeated contemtion, just like when I memorized texts as a child…”<fn26b7> Discover more novels at Find★Novel</fn26b7>

As she shared her thoughts, Zara looked up at Deana and Fitz, asking, “Mom… Brother… Have either of you ever felt this way? The more you try to remember someone’s appearance, the easier it is to forget?”
Fitz pondered for a moment before replying, “Yes, it’s true. If you see someone often, you can’t forget them. But for someone you’ve only met once, it doesn’t take long before I can barely recall their specific features. All that remains is a vague outline.”
Deana nodded in agreement, saying, “Zara is right. Our memories need to be reinforced to stay vivid.”
As she said this, she thought of Bruce. She had loved Bruce deeply, but in the nearly twenty years since his passing, if she hadn’t looked at his youthful photographs regrly, his image in her mind would have be increasingly blurred.
Reflecting on this, she sighed internally and then asked Zara, “Can you describe your benefactor to me? What does he look like?”
Zara considered for a moment, then replied, “In one word, he’s handsome; in two words, very handsome; in three words, extremely handsome; and in four words, cool and very handsome…”
Deana couldn’t help butugh, “Is it really that exaggerated?”
Zara insisted earnestly, “Mom, I’m not exaggerating at all! He is genuinely handsome, and also incredibly cool!”
With a dreamy expression, Zara added, “When Iga Kaminori sent a group of ninjas after him, he defeated them effortlessly. Iga Kaminori was terrified and asked him who he was. Can you guess what he said?”
Deana shook her head, curious, “What did he say?”
Zara stood up and imitated Charlie from that time, saying coldly, “He said, ‘I am your father, and I want your life!’”
Deana chuckled, “This guy has quite the arrogance.”
“More than that!” Zara replied seriously. “I’ve never seen someone so confident! He didn’t even regard those Japanese ninjas, who kill without a second thought, as a threat. Killing them was like slicing through vegetables; it was truly impressive!”
With a hint of annoyance, she continued, “But the frustrating part is that he doesn’t seem to have a good opinion of me and my brother. When I asked to borrow a phone to call Dad, he tly refused, saying he doesn’t lend out personal belongings. How rude!”
Deanaughed, “He’s probably just being cautious, not wanting you to discover his phone number or uncover his identity.”
“Exactly!” Zara eximed enthusiastically. “I think so too! He’s very clever and leaves no trace! Before I left, when I said goodbye, he told me he would never see me again. Thinking back on it, I’m still quite upset! It really hurt my pride! I absolutely must find him and ask him face to face: were you just saying you wouldn’t see me again to tease me? How do you feel about seeing me again, huh?”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong></p“in>
