When James heard the voice, he recoiled as if struck by a jolt of electricity. He quickly turned to face the source and found a young man perched on a small stool at the bathroom door, wearing a smile.

    “Me?” Charlie smirked. “I’m the great benefactor of your Banks Family.”


    “What kind of benefactor are you? What do you want?” James asked, his voiceced with apprehension.


    Charlie replied with a grin, “I truly am the great benefactor of your family. Your eldest brother’s children, Fitz and Zara, were kidnapped in Japan, and I saved them. So, do you think I qualify as a great benefactor?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

    Charlie arched an eyebrow, intrigued. “Why do you ask? Have you heard of me?”


    James hesitated before responding, “I overheard my niece mention you to my father. If I ever had the chance to find you, I would want to express my gratitude.”


    As he spoke, he scrutinized Charlie closely, trying to discern if he was an ally or an adversary. Internally, he analyzed the situation: “This kid just appeared in my room. Regardless of how it looks, he must have ulterior motives. But if he really is the one who rescued Fitz and Zara in Japan, then he shouldn’t harbor any ill will towards the Banks Family, right?”


    Charlie smiled and continued, “Well, if your Banks Family truly wishes to thank me, it should be genuine gratitude. After all, I didn’t just save your siblings; I also rescued your elder brother’s illegitimate daughter.”


    James’s expression shifted dramatically!

    Seeing the shock on James’s face, Charlie nodded, maintaining his smile. “Yes, I rescued Xion.”


    James was torn between seeing Charlie as friend or foe, but now the pieces were starting to fit together. He realized that this man must be an enemy. After all, Xion’s sudden disappearance had caused significant problems, exposing the old man’s dealings with the Japanese Self-Defense Force.

    Charlie leaned back, appearing rxed. “Your sister-inw and your eldest niece were kidnapped by a wanted criminal and were involved in a car ident. They were on the brink of death, but I saved them both.”


    “What?! It was you?!” James gasped, his fear intensifying at the realization that Deana and Zara were alive! He hadn’t expected this young man to be their savior. Worrying that Charlie might notice his unease, James feigned excitement. “I can’t believe my sister-inw and niece are safe! That’s wonderful news!”


    Quickly, he added, “I came to Aurous Hill to search for them. Our family is very concerned about their safety. Before I left, my father insisted I find them at all costs and ensure they were unharmed. I had no idea you were the one who had rescued them—thank you so much!”


    Charlie chuckled, “James, I assumed all the men from the Banks Family were cunning strategists, but it seems your acting skills are quitecking. It’s as if you didn’t even make an effort. I’m rather disappointed.”
