The Amazing son inw Chapter 2596 (Charlie Wade)

    2<h2><span>CHAPTER 2596</h2>

Hank smiled faintly and remarked, “It’s alright; Mr. Jacob must be busy right now.”

He continued with a yful tone, “Mr. Jacob should be around fifty years old, right?”

“Yes, fifty,” Jacob replied, nodding in agreement.

With a grin, Hank said, “In that case, you can’t call me old brother since I’m a few years older than you. I’m actually fifty-five this year.”

“What?!” Jacob eximed in disbelief, “You’re fifty-five this year?!”

“Indeed,” Hank confirmed with a smile. “I celebrated my 55th birthday this past January, so I’m considered 56 now.”

Jacob’s expression shifted; he was taken aback and felt a pang of insecurity.

He had assumed Hank was around forty-five, so discovering that Hank was actually five years older was surprising!

At that moment, Hank turned to Matilda and asked, “By the way, Matilda, since Mr. Jacob has to leave, what about you? Are you in a hurry to head back? If not, would you like to go for a run?”

Matilda, still brimming with energy from her run, eagerly responded, “Sure! I didn’t run enough yet, so let’s go for a bit longer!”

She then turned to Jacob and Charlie, smiling as she said, “Charlie, I won’t be going back with you. Just drive carefully on your way home.”

Jacob, feeling gloomy, wanted to protest but didn’t know how to voice his concerns.

Charlie simply epted Matilda’s decision, saying, “Aunt, we’ll head out first then.”

Afterward, Charlie took Jacob’s hand and said, “Dad, let’s go.”

Jacob felt extremely frustrated. As they returned to the car, Matilda had already taken off running with Hank.

He stared after them, grumbling, “Charlie, how can a guy who ims to be fifty-five look so youthful?!”

Charlie chuckled and replied, “People like him, who are into sports like Aunt, usually owe their youthful appearance to consistent physical activity.”

Jacob frowned and muttered, “I think that guy might have an interest in your Aunt!”

Charlie casually remarked, “With how amazing Aunt is, it’s likely many men are interested in her.”

Jacob, feeling a bit anxious, added, “The problem is, this guy seems impressive too! A professor at MIT? Just that title alone is intimidating! He could be my biggest rival!”

In frustration, he cursed under his breath, “Damn it! Why do all these people who go abroade back? Can’t they just stay where they are?”

Charlie, unfazed, smiled and said, “Dad, after being away for a while, many Chinese people want to return to their roots. Plus, those whoe back to teach contribute to the country by nurturing future talents.”<fn4553> Newest update provided by find{n}ovel</fn4553>

Jacob retorted angrily, “The country wouldn’t lose anything by not having him here! Especially since he’s from the U.S.! Your Aunt has lived there for years, so they probably have a lot inmon. Meanwhile, I’ve never even been there!”
