The Amazing son in law Chapter 4688 - 4688 )

“What’s the scale of the dead soldiers?” After pondering for a moment, the man replied, “I’m not sure… The camp we’re in has around 1,110 households and 1,900 dead soldiers, making the total poption, including men, women, and the elderly, likely several thousand.”

Charlie was taken aback, asking, “So, your organization doesn’t only involve your segment of the dead?”

“Exactly,” the man confirmed with a nod. “Death camps exist globally, but I can’t tell you how many there are.”

Increasingly astonished, Charlie pressed further: “You mentioned being injected with drugs before arriving here. When you woke up in New York, did you know how long you had been unconscious?”

“No idea,” the man shook his head. “In our dead camp, we aren’t allowed to know the date or time. We can’t see sunrises or sunsets, just the lights turning on and off. I’ve quietly observed that our daily routine doesn’t seem to align with a standard 24-hour cycle. Each day appears to be intentionally extended, so today feels longer than yesterday, and yesterday felt longer than the day before. Eventually, even if we know the precise time we started our mission, after a while, our records will be inurate.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

“How did you figure out the time discrepancy?” Charlie inquired.

The man exined, “I created a very small hole at the bottom of a bowl, filled it with fine sand, and started timing when the bell rang the first day. I let the sand leak until the next bell rang, then repeated this process. Over time, sometimes the sand trickles out too soon and other times not at all. This leads me to believe that time here is different from the outside world. Eventually, we lose track of what year and month it is outside.”

Curiously, Charlie asked, “Are you doing all this in secret to find a way to escape?”

“Not exactly,” the man replied with a wry smile. “Even if an escape opportunity arose, it would likely lead to death. I’m more interested in understanding how this organization operates. If I could expose their methods, it would be a victory to prevent others from making the same mistakes I did.”

Charlie nodded thoughtfully, acknowledging, “It seems you haven’t beenpletely brainwashed by the organization.”

“Brainwashed?” The man shook his head. “The organization looks down on brainwashing us. Our lives and our families’ lives are in their hands. Whether we are brainwashed or not is irrelevant. We could be seen as their greatest adversaries, yet they remain indifferent because they know weck the courage and ability to betray them.”

Charlie nodded slightly, realizing that the information this man had shared was nearly exhausted.

At that moment, Abbas asked, “Do you know where the garage is that you woke up in?”

“Yes,” the man answered honestly. “The garage is located in Brooklyn, New York.”

Abbas turned to Charlie and said, “Mr. Wade, this is the only point where they intersect with the organization. They must have set up the garage in advance and likely left clues. If we investigate this lead, we might uncover something!”

Charlie waved his hand dismissively, “There’s no need to investigate.”

Abbas quickly protested, “But Mr. Wade, this is the only clue we have!”

Charlie responded earnestly, “It’s unnecessary. Since they are so cautious, any evidence that should have been dealt with has likely already been addressed. Investigating now would only reveal our presence. Even if we found something, it would be meaningless. We aren’t equipped to confront such an organization. All we currently understand are the dead soldiers and the guides. We have no idea how many dead soldiers there are, how many guides there are, or what other structures they might possess. Their true power could far exceed our expectations.”

Abbas hesitated but eventually nodded in agreement.

With Charlie’s words weighing on him, he feltpelled to approach the situation with caution.

Charlie then addressed the man, stating, “You’ve cooperated well today, but I’m not ready to eliminate you just yet.”

Turning to Abbas, he instructed, “Abbas, I’m leaving now. Ensure you take him to Syria and look after him closely. Don’t let anyone outside the core members of Wanlong Pce know he exists.”

Abbas nodded promptly, “Rest assured, Mr. Wade, I will make the arrangements!”<fn06f2> Readplete version only at FindN()vel</fn06f2>

Charlie looked back at the man and asked, “What’s your name?”

With gratitude, the man replied, “Mr. Wade, I go by May 47.”

Charlie inquired, “Which five? The Wu of Wushu, or the Wu of Shan Liren?”

“Neither,” the man said with a bitter smile. “It’s just a number. I have no surname or first name, and even my ancestors didn’t know their original surname. We were simply assigned numbers by the organization, and that is how we are identified.”

Feeling a mix of emotions, Charlie took a moment of silence before saying seriously, “Live well. I will ensure you witness theplete downfall of this organization.”

Hope sparked in May 47’s eyes as he stared at Charlie and respectfully asked, “Mr. Wade, I’ve answered many of your questions. I hope you’ll consider sharing how you managed to seal the power within me.”

Charlie replied with a cold smile, “My strength far surpasses that!”
