The Amazing son in law Chapter 6058

James Smith shook his head and said, “I’m off to pick up my son and try my luck at Jiuxuan Pharmaceutical to see if there’s any opportunity.”

The man nodded in response. “I have something to take care of. If you need assistance, feel free to reach out anytime.”

“Okay,” James Smith replied before quickly leaving the church and hailing a taxi to the People’s Hospital.

After arriving in Aurous Hill, they first took their children to set up a medical file at the Aurous Hill People’s Hospital. Following that, they began the same chemotherapy regimen they had used in the United States. Initially, James stayed in a hotel near the hospital, waiting for his wife, Jenny, to arrive. Once she managed to arrange everything back in the U.S. and traveled to Aurous Hill with their daughter, they rented a house close to the hospital.

Taking Charlie’s advice, James Smith dedicated his days to charitable work in Aurous Hill. Meanwhile, Jenny adhered to the hospital’s guidelines, bringing their child in for chemotherapy and check-ups, and returning home at night for some much-needed rest.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Unfortunately, little Jimmy’s cancer had progressed to what appeared to be the terminal stage. The chemotherapy drugs being administered were the most advanced on the market, but even those could only slow the cancer’s progression rather than cure it.

For patients battling cancer, the ideal oue is to identify carcinoma in situ, which can bepletely cured through surgical removal. In cases where cancer has metastasized, the best scenario involves finding effective targeted therapies.

However, gic differences among individuals mean that some are fortunate enough to have identifiable targets for targeted therapy, allowing for significantly improved treatment oues.

Conversely, others may be less fortunate, cking any identifiable targets in their gic makeup, thus limiting their treatment options to traditional chemotherapy and radiation.

In little Jimmy’s case, chemotherapy represented the final line of defense, but James Smith was acutely aware that thisst barrier was precariously close to failing, with only months left to fight.

As he entered the day ward of the hospital, he noted that every bed was upied by a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy.

Among them, little Jimmy was the youngest patient present.

Previously, there had been a 5-year-old boy with advanced leukemia who recently gained approval from Jiuxuan Pharmaceutical for clinical trials and was transferred to their internalb for treatment. James Smith felt a pang of envy at the time, but understood that Jiuxuan Pharmaceutical prioritized children based on age, severity of illness, and family circumstances.

Currently, Jimmyy on the hospital bed, his once vibrant frame now emaciated, with all his hair fallen out, presenting a fragile appearance. His eyes were slightly closed, suggesting he might be asleep.

Jenny, James Smith’s wife, sat wearily on a stool beside the bed.

Upon seeing her husband enter, she expressed surprise, “James, what are you doing here? Isn’t the church preparing relief for the homeless this afternoon?”

James Smith chose not to address her question directly. Instead, he nced at their son and asked, “Is Jimmy asleep?”<fn646f> Read full story at Find1Novel</fn646f>

Jenny nodded gently, her voice tinged with distress. “His vomiting has been getting worse. The doctor added some anti-emetic medication to his chemotherapy regimen, but it’s making him even more nauseous and lethargic.”

With her eyes glistening with tears, she continued, “The results from the enhanced CT scan we did two days ago are in, and Jimmy’s cancer cells are still growing and spreading. This week’s chemotherapy hasn’t shown any improvement. The doctor said his condition is declining rapidly, like an elevator plummeting uncontrobly from a height. The chemotherapy can only slow down the fall slightly, extending his time from two months to perhaps two and a half or three months at best. Even that seems optimistic…”

At that moment, overwhelmed, Jenny buried her face in her hands and wept.

James Smith rushed to her side, wrapping his arms around her gently and whispering, “Don’t cry. There may still be other options.”

Jenny shook her head firmly. “I don’t want to cling to false hope anymore. I’m seriously considering stopping Jimmy’s chemotherapy and taking him back to the U.S. for his remaining months. His grandparents are waiting to see him. At least in the U.S., he can spend hisst days surrounded by family.”

James Smith insisted, “There’s still onest chance, even if I don’t know how likely it is to seed. As long as there’s a chance, it’s better than having none at all.”

Turning to Jenny, he said, “Let the nurse remove Jimmy’s IV. I’m going to take him out!”

Jenny looked at him in surprise. “Where are you taking him?”

James recalled Arlo Hu’s warning to keep things discreet and replied, “Just trust me for now. I promised not to disclose too much, but I assure you, if there’s any news, I will let you know immediately!”
