The apartment features a study room and a personal space for Charlie.
To put it simply, it is a three-bedroom apartment consisting of three bedrooms and one living room.
Charlie has resided here for several years and is well-acquainted with the overallyout. Additionally, there have been almost no significant changes, making it easier for him to recognize everything.
Upon entering the main hall, he noticed that the furniture and decor remained unchanged since the day his parents had taken him away.
A vivid memory of living here with his parents during his childhood flooded Charlie’s mind, leaving him with a swirl of emotions.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Afterward, he guided Lin Wan’er (ni) to explore the rooms together.
Aside from the furniture in the main hall and bedroom, there were some new bedding and pillows set aside, but it was clear that they had never been used.
This meant that the main hall and bedroom would not yield any clues, so
Charlie focused his attention on the study.
The study, which was converted from a courtyard wing, isn’t veryrge—approximately 30 square meters—but it boasts three walls filled with bookshelves and a vast collection of books.
Even after twenty years, the bookshelf in the study still holds numerous volumes left by Bruce Wade and Lydia (Ava), Charlie’s mother. These were cherished books that Bruce Wade and Lydia (Ava) could not take with them.
Charlie quickly nced over the collection and noticed that, although there were many titles, they fell into just three categories.
The first category includes finance and management, primarilyprised of experiences penned by world-renowned economists and financial experts. The second category features history and biographies, while the third category revolves around the Book of Changes and rted texts.
When he was younger, Charlie hadn’t paid much attention to these subjects; whenever he visited his parents’ study in search of books, he only fixated on the captivating history titles, rgely ignoring the others.
It was only today that he realized his parents had been delving into the I Ching and Bagua long before.
Lin Wan’er (ni) also nced over the collection of books and remarked to Charlie, “Sir, your parents amassed nearly the finest collection of texts regarding the Yijing and Bagua in existence. Some of these works are even centuries old and out of print. It’s clear they conducted extensive research on the I Ching, Bagua, and the secrets of Feng Shui.”<fn33d9> Fresh chapters posted on Find★Novel</fn33d9>
Charlie nodded absentmindedly, his mind racing with thoughts of how to swiftly digest this wealth of knowledge.
He began to carefully examine the bookshelf for any hidden clues within the volumes, but the sheer number made it impossible to skim through them all quickly.
While he sifted through the books, he mentioned to Lin Wan’er (ni), “With this many books, it’s going to take at least a few days to organize everything.” Lin Wan’er (ni) smiled gently and replied, “It doesn’t matter how long it takes; we can take our time. If the young master doesn’t mind, I’ll dly assist you in sorting through them.”
Charlie suggested, “Let’s start with the books on the Yi Jing and Bagua. Since my parents were interested in Taoism, I believe there might be some notes left by them in those texts.”
Lin Wan’er (ni) nodded in agreement and added, “Master, I wish to help ease your burden, but I’m unsure if you would be willing to let me assist.”
Charlie responded, “Since Miss Lin has some free time, please help me look through them. If youe across anything suspicious, let me know right away.”
“Absolutely!” Lin Wan’er (ni) replied enthusiastically. She then selected a book from the shelf and began to flip through the pages, searching for any hidden notes or significant information.
However, after perusing numerous books, neither of them found anything particrly noteworthy.
Just when Charlie felt uncertain about where to begin, Lin Wan’er suddenly extracted a book of simr size from the shelf. As she opened it and nced through its contents, she eximed, “Sir, there’s a photo album here!”<h3 ss="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
