Chapter <b>87 </b>


    Edward didn’t think that an original divorce agreement with his signature on it was possible.


    “I never signed anything! I haven’t even seen the document!” he roared.


    Nn, now fully awake from Edward’s shouting, sighed.


    “But the document is real. The signature looks authentic, and since you didn’t call to object<b>, </b><b>Mr. </b>Fowler Senior assumed you agreed to it.”


    “No, I didn’t! Why should I ept a document I never signed?” Edward’s voice was filled with rage, the veins on the back of his hand bulging.


    Nn frowned, hesitating before saying, “Did Mrs. Fowler forge your signature?”


    “That’s exactly the kind of illegal thing she’d do. She doesn’t have a brain in her head,” Edward hissed.


    “Forging a signature makes the divorce document invalid. She’s just ying games with me and Grandpa!”


    Edward fumed inwardly. “What does she think I am? A monkey in a zoo? How dare she mess with me like


    this!”


    He was so furious that he could barely think straight. He wanted to tear the earth apart to find Macie.


    Nn sounded puzzled. “Mrs. Fowler wouldn’t joke about something as serious as divorce, let alone forge documents.”


    “Why not? She’s been throwing a tantrum because of Sharon, and now she’s taken it this far. She’s also pulling this disappearing act and removed her phone card. Does she think that I’ll feel threatened and beg her toe back? Macie is delusional! She should remember her ce. She was the one who insisted on marrying me in the first ce.”


    Nn listened to Edward’s furious rant in silence for a few seconds before cutting straight to the point.


    “If Mrs. Fowler was the one who wanted to marry you, it’s even less likely that she’d want a divorce. If this document is fake, it could backfire horribly. So, maybe Mrs. Fowler really does want to divorce you.” 1


    Edward froze, his mind exploding with Nn’s words. His grip on the phone tightened so much that it felt like it might shatter.

    If that were the case, why would she forge Edward’s signature? <b>If </b>Yosef believed it, wouldn’t they end up divorced? That would go against Macie’s supposed goal of staying in the Fowler family.


    “I get it now,” Edward said through gritted teeth.


    “She forged it because she knew that it wouldn’t hold up legally. She’s just ying games with us. She’ll thene back like nothing happened, still acting as Mrs. Fowler. Fine, Macie. <b>If </b>you want to y games, I’ll y along!”


    A forged signature, huh? Edward would give Macie the real one! She could pack her bags and get the hell out of the Fowler family for good!


    Edward let out a coldugh, his eyes dark and menacing. Nn tried to say something, but Edward had already hung up.


    Nn didn’t understand why Edward was so frantic to call in the middle of the night. Thetter didn’t want the divorce but sounded like he was ready to go through with it by the end of the call.


    If that were the case, why even call? Why bother looking for Macie?


    Nn shook his head, feeling like he couldn’t understand the younger generation. But since Edward had mentioned that he hadn’t seen the document, Nn decided to bring it up with Yosef first thing in the


    morning.


    Meanwhile, back at Fowler Group’s headquarters, Edward printed out a divorce agreement. He signed the document without reading the contents and took it home with him.
