Edward would give the divorce agreement to Macie if she wanted it so badly. He wanted to see if she had the guts to take it.
He couldn’t believe that Macie even dared to fool Yosef. After everything thetter did for her, this was how she repaid him. Edward wondered if she had forgotten that it was only because of his grandfather
that Edward married her in the first ce.
Sharon was still awake, having prepared another meal and waiting for Edward <i>to </ie home. <fn74ca> Newest update provided by find~novel</fn74ca>
As soon as he walked through the door, she started to approach him, but he frowned, his expression dark.
“Didn’t I tell youst night not to do this? Have you packed your things yet? <b>If </b>you’re done, I’ll have Nathan help you move out.”
Sharon froze, tears welling up in her eyes.
“Edward, are you really that eager to kick me out? Last night and tonight. It’s always the same…”
Edward pursed his lips briefly before replying, “It’s inappropriate for you to stay here. I’m married, and Macie left because of it. So, you should move out. It’s better for both of you. She won’t target or hurt you anymore.” 1
Sharon’s tears spilled over, her sadness and anger boiling over.
“But don’t you love me? Isn’t it perfect that Macie’s gone? We can live together! Without her, this house can be ours.”
Edward’s frown deepened, his face stern. “This is mine and Macie’s home. You and I are in the past. The moment you left me for a million dors, there was no going back.” 1
Sharon clenched her fists, her eyes wide with disbelief.
“I don’t believe you. You must still love me. Otherwise, why would you treat me so well? You drive me to and from work, attend my shows, bring me home, and even let me stay in Macie’s room. When Macie and I were both hurt, you protected me first.”
Edward’s fists tightened at her words. Nathan had said the same thing earlier, using him of going too far. And now, it seemed that all of it had given Sharon the wrong idea–that he still loved her.
“And you kissed me–more than once. You left marks on my neck. Doesn’t that prove that you still love me?” Sharon cried, her voice breaking.
Suddenly, Edward’s temper snapped. He turned and red at Sharon furiously.
“That was a mistake! Nothing happened between us!”
“A mistake? What kind of mistake happens twice? And it was a French kiss!” Sharon screamed.
“Do you know what you did when you kissed me? You-”
Sharon kept going, vividly describing the moments. Edward felt hisst thread ofposure snap.
Suddenly, the sound of his hand hitting her cheek echoed through the room. He hadn’t even spare a thought. He just acted. Sharon’s face bore a bright red handprint, and her words died in her throat. 3
She stared at him in shock, tears streaming down her face.
Edward’s expression was dark, but he didn’t regret his actions.
“You have until tomorrow to move out. I’ve already found you a ce and paid the rent. I’ve done more than enough for you,” Edward said coldly.
He turned to leave but stopped after a few steps, his voice deep and threatening. “<b>If </b>you dare mention any of this to Macie, you’ll regret it.”
Sharon bit her lip so hard it drew blood. “You’ve fallen for Macie, haven’t you?” she shouted.
