    When Hamilton dered that all of Niks’s fortune belonged to the McCoy Group, he failed to notice the sh of murderous intent in his son’s eyes.


    Firm in his conviction, Hamilton ordered his men to take him and Niks to the ind where Niks’s private assets were hidden.


    As their aircraft looped in for a slow descent, Niks leaned forward, voice hushed and desperate. “Dad, I’m begging you. Please don’t take everything. Some of it belongs to the McCoy Group, but I earned most of it on my own. Take what rightfully belongs to thepany, but leave me the rest. Please—let me keep some dignity.”


    Hamilton remained cold and distant. He scoffed. “Are you serious? Do you really believe you would have earned a single cent without the McCoy name? If you weren’t my son, who would even give you the time of day? Niks, do youck that much selfawareness?”


    Niks stared at him, stunned. “Is that truly how you’ve always seen me? After all these years, can’t you recognize the effort I’ve made? Yes, I’m your son, but that doesn’t erase the fact that I’ve been working tirelessly to build something of my own. Can’t you see even a little of what I’ve aplished?”


    Hamilton said nothing. Instead, he raised a hand and gestured toward the clearing below. “Direct the other nes tond there,” he instructed the pilot coolly. “Unload everything.”


    The pilot, feeling sympathy for Niks, shot him a regretful nce. A heavy wave of shame and helplessness washed over Niks. As the fleet began its final approach, one ne suddenly veered sharply off course, breaking formation like a rogue shadow.


    “What on earth?” Hamilton snapped, irritation ring in his eyes. “Who gave that pilot permission to go offscript? Utterly reckless!”


    The pilot frowned, confused as he watched the rogue aircraft. “That’s strange. I never ordered it to break formation. It’s moving on its own.”


    He leaned forward, eyes narrowing as he tracked the ne. “Mr. McCoy, that pilot is not one of ours.”

    After another moment of squinting, the pilot said in disbelief, “It looks like a woman flying that ne.”


    Hamilton’s head snapped up, rm shing in his eyes. “Dani? What is she doing here?” He nced at Niks, who remained silent. If Niks mattered so little to his father, what was the point of chasing approval?


    Ignoring his son, Hamilton turned back to the pilot. “What exactly is she trying to pull?”


    Above them, Dani’s aircraft spiraled closer, scanning the ind below like a hawk. Hamilton’s gaze hardened. “She’s targeting our assets.”


    Before he could finish, Dani’s ne released a bomb with chilling precision. The sky erupted in a thunderous st as smoke billowed into violent plumes. When the haze cleared, a massive crater scarred the earth. Hamilton stared in shock. “What is Dani doing?”


    The answer became horrifyingly clear: she was leveling the ind. With each subsequent bomb, she pounded thend until it sank beneath the waves, vanishing as if it had never existed.


    “She’s insane!” Hamilton’s voice trembled with fury. “Dani haspletely unhinged herself!”
