Chapter 1374

    ?Chapter 1374:

Beside him, Niks sat frozen—yet somewhere beneath the despair, envy stirred. Cedric had someone willing to burn the world down for him. How he wished someone would defend him so fiercely and without reservation.

With the ind gone, the nes banked and began their return. Dani stepped from her aircraft, posed and unfazed, while Hamilton charged toward her, barely restraining his fury. “Dani, do you honestly believe this proves you’ve won? Those bombs came at a hefty price. You’re the one who stands to lose everything.”

Dani met his rage with a slow, deliberate smile, addressing the assembled crowd. “You’re absolutely right. Those bombs cost me dearly. That’s precisely why I’m here—to make sure you understand that if you so much asy a finger on Cedric, you’ll go down in mes with me. I believe I’ve made myself very clear today.”

Hamilton stood frozen, pletely thrown off by what he was seeing. Who in their right mind would go this far just to send a message that no one could touch their partner? It wasn’t just irrational—it was borderline obsession.

The more he thought about it, the more convinced he became that Cedric and Dani made a terrible match. To Hamilton, dramatic gestures and shallow derations of love held no weight. And yet here was Dani, spending fortunes as if money meant nothing, all to secure Cedric’s favor.

But what would happen when the thrill wore off? What if Dani fell for someone else? If she were ordinary, perhaps he could overlook it. But she wasn’t. She was stunning, and men flocked to her like moths to a me. She didn’t have to lift a finger; they would vie for her attention.

If she ever gave that kind of unwavering loyalty to someone else, what man could resist her? Cedric was alreadypletely under her spell, following her without question. If she ever lost interest, he would likely offer the entire McCoy Group just to keep her by his side.

This melodrama was an insult to everything the McCoy family stood for. Hamilton refused to sit back and watch it unfold. As long as Cedric remained his son, Hamilton would not allow them to be together.

Dani was dangerously intelligent, and that only made her more threatening. If Cedric fell into her trap, he would be drained dry and left with nothing.

    ???? ??????? ?? ?????????.???

Hamilton’s thoughts churned as he narrowed his eyes at Dani. “What you did today put the McCoy family at a disadvantage. I won’t let it slide. You can forget ever bing one of us.” His words felt less like a warning and more like a verdict.

Dani scoffed carelessly. “Oh, calm down. I never had any interest in joining your overrated dynasty.”

Hamilton’s voice tightened with fury. “Like it or not, Cedric is one of us.”

Dani tilted her head. “Is that so? He never thinks of himself as one of you. And one more thing—learn to tame that ego before it strangles you. Looks like it already has.”

Without waiting for a response, Dani turned and walked away, a smirk lingering on her lips.

Niks stood nearby, quietly absorbing every moment of their exchange. Despite the blow the McCoy family had suffered today, watching Dani put Hamilton in his ce stirred something dark and satisfying within him. His gaze followed her retreating figure, and for an instant, he wished she had defended him so fiercely instead. They were family—he and Cedric shared the same blood. If Cedric had earned such loyalty from her, why not him? He was certain he could do better.
